Troy Von Haefen has always had a love for helping people understand their personal finances. He enjoyed a successful career in the music business as a professional guitarist traveling with highly acclaimed artists, such as Lee Ann Womack. While touring, he found himself discussing colleagues’ investment portfolios, and after helping several of them attain financial stability, he decided it was time to change professions. Today, Troy owns and operates Von Haefen Financial Management and continues to bring comprehensive, holistic financial planning (including tax preparation) to folks in a concise and understandable manner. Troy has been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, and Smartmoney.com. Troy is a CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) as well as a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, National Association of Tax Professionals, and The Alliance of Comprehensive Planners. Troy also enjoys contributing to his blog, The Financial Minute.
